Tons of new Screens added to the gallery!

[:1]http://guildwars.incgamers.com/blog/...shots-blow-out|||Interesting, there is a 'search' next to a dead worm. One thing I did like about GW and a few others is you don't run around searching bodies. I know it's more 'real' but bodies pile up and you don't get to loot them all, and the time it takes to make sure you have looted everyone. I just like the items to magically pop out of the dead body...

I don't know that it is, but it would make an interesting dynamic. Your loot pops out, but there could be an option to search the body for rare crafting materials.|||Not sure here, but I'm pretty certain its been confirmed since the very first public demo that the "Items magically drop from bodies" system is gone, and you have to loot your items / gold now, not 100% sure on that, but i do seem to remember it or something similar being a big point for discussion last year.
Makes sense imo, if the items still dropped out, not all players would be bothered with white drops, so you could end up having zones littered with unwanted drops, just a more convenient system to press a button and loot them imo.
Otherwise the screenshots are awesome, thank you very much for managing to get them!

that does make sense. I just hope they address overlapping bodies easily then. It's really annoying when 10 die in the same spot (bacause I restricted their movement properly) and the drops get screwed up.|||So events are identical to quests in any other game, except they have bars that fill instead of showing you concrete numbers.
And don't bother saying "Stuff changes afterwards though!!!!!" Yeah, so? That doesn't effect actually playing the game now, does it?|||Quote:

...huh? The acquisition and effects quests have doesn't affect playing the game?|||I've played some MMOs and there's many many things that annoy me about persistent areas... many of which are fixed by ANet in GW2.
1) Static foes just waiting there for you to get them.
2) The exact same event starting over right after you complete it.
3) People competing for resources or kills.
Yes, events are identical to quests in other games, except that it fixes all 3 problems above.
And yes, stuff changing after makes a big difference in playing the game. First, it makes farming that much harder. Second, it gives persistent areas a story, a continuity. And third, stuff changes, which is in itself cool.|||Quote:

I wonder how Anet plans to deal with players just dropping stuff around the persistent world? My guess would be that they cannot; only trade; would keep the grounds clean. Though, I would miss that option from GW1.|||Quote:

In every screenshot and video I've seen so far, corpses have the standard twinkling loot indicator, and a Loot/Search box pops up when you're near them. Looks like they're definitely using the standard corpse container system.
One thing I desperately hope they implement is Rift's AOE looting system (with an optional tobble to disable it) that lets you loot all nearby corpses with just one click instead of having to open each corpse individually. It's such a huge convenience feature.
