I was wondering, does anyone know if you will be able to hide your helmet and cape in GW2?
Like the function of showing it onely in town or battle?
And what about the Guild Capes anyway? Will guilds be able to have the same logo and other stuff?|||ANet's been very tight-lipped about guilds so far, so no news yet about whether there will be guild capes like in GW1.
As for helmets, I don't believe there was such a feature in the demo, but given that this game will have clothing, I'd feel pretty certain that helmet-hiding will be in the final game.|||I hope you'll still be able to run around in underwear :D|||This sounds like a good thread to throw in a request for Equipment profiles. Kinda like we have for weapon sets, except you can switch out your entire outfit with one click rather than dropping and dragging each piece. (out-of-combat only, of course)
PvP character in GW1 have a similar feature available already with Equipment Templates.|||That sounds like a brilliant idea tbh, but do you really need more then one armor set? _|||Quote:

YES. I love the quick one-click swap between my Bloodsail Admiral outfit and my resto/ele gear. (Of course I won't really need an ele set with the next patch as there are now talents that give hit for spirit.)

Of course! I have something like 8 sets on my monk, and three or four on my shaman and priest.|||Yes please.
Everyone was thrilled when Anet introduced equipment/skill templates, but really, it's much less than some other games have of the same concept.|||I demand total nakedness.|||Originally, in GW1, you could not hide your helmet. I think it was in at release, but in beta events, you had to wear a helmet. Always. I'd actually made the request in a thread (ANet has ALWAYS been really big on community feedback) and got mixed reactions. I was delighted when the option was there :)
Anecdotes aside, I'm assuming they won't be taking features OUT, especially not something as simple (gameplay-wise) as that.|||Quote:

Yes, especially (but not restricted to) folks who use PvE characters to PvP with. I have sets of armor runed specifically for my favorite builds on many of my characters.
Besides - even if you only have one set, wouldn't it be nice to change into your birthday suit with a single click?

Cape and helm toggles were actually not in GW1 at release. I remember it was a constant thread topic in the CDF back when I first started lurking on this site. The feature was added finally in Oct 2005 along with the very first Halloween event.
Anet was very popular that month.
