any ideas when some future game expos/conventions will be?

As a lot of you can probably guess, this is to get some idea of when the next flood of Guild wars 2 information will likely start occurring.
(Unless they surprise us and start putting stuff out earlier.)
At the very least, we could definitely use some more thread materials. :)|||I'm not sure that any new info will come from an expo, unless it's a big one- Paris Games Week from a couple weeks ago was the first public unveil of GW2 in France, but I never would have even known about it if it hadn't been mentioned on the main site.
Really, all we can do is guess at this point.|||So, if you don't expect smaller shows to reveal anything, know anything about when the bigger ones might come? (which is the point of the original post.) Obviously, "keep guessing" doesn't say much at all.|||I hope we just got a slow trickle of information, next big blow should be before Christmas I can tell you that.|||Quote:

Extremely unlikely, considering today's interview:

There are many reasons for the plateau of information. (...) The approaching holiday season also factors into this, with many people taking vacation to be with family and friends towards the end of the year there is a limit to the amount of work that we can realistically get done.

I doubt very much we will get any more information any time soon. Probably around February or March of 2011, IMO.
ArenaNet was forced to announce GW2 a couple months after starting work on it, as they had to give players a reason for not making any new chapters. Everyone here has seen what happened due to that, with some stupid rumors of GW2 being "vaporware" and etc. It's not surprising that ArenaNet would like to begin the GW2 reveal with a big bang, both to bring the game to players' attention and to let NCSoft and their investors know how much of a success the game may be. The many announcements before Gamescom and PAX, plus the demo itself, accomplished those goals perfectly - players were hyped, the media was hooked, and GW2 left the impression of being a big success in the making.
Now it's back to "making" time. They have often told us that there's a lot of stuff which simply is not ready yet. As stated at today's interview, many critical elements of the game are not finished enough. It's not surprising that they don't have anything to say right now, as the game is likely far from being finished (and I wouldn't be surprised if release comes only one year from now).
We have to simply be patient. I would rather wait until April of 2012 than have an incomplete game released this December.
(And for the records, I told you so.)
