every time you run a dungeon, you are guaranteed to get a piece of armor meant for your class via a token system
Others may disagree, but I would not mind repeating a dungeon to finish a whole armor set.
Armor + weapon (assuming) rewards from dungeons? Win.

the stats will be equivalent of those on equal-level gear earned via other methods in the game, such as world events, personal story, PvP and mini-games
Do not know how to take this, yet.|||Spoiler

If I'm not mistaken that is Tomb Raider (Perhaps the recent one that was out of the Wii)

If I'm understanding it properly, I think it's a good thing. Basically, it sounds like each dungeon is going to have its own set of shinies. If dungeon delving isn't your thing, you're able to get weapons and armor with similar numbers from elsewhere, but not with the same appearance of the shinies.|||Quote:

Yup. Instead of doing dungeons for random loot and gold, now you can do it for an armor skin (not stats). I think it's a cool idea, especially if they can be upgraded easily.|||well, it doesn't give anyone any advantage stat-wise nor is it a goldmine......so to speak.|||Doesn't look like much new info there, but enjoyed the new pictures. :)
They misspelled Adelbrain... I mean, Adelbern's name.|||I think I remember someone summarizing this article when the PC Gamer issue came out and posting the summary it in a previous thread.|||Quote:

And in classic MMORPGs, the only way to acquire the best possible gear is through raids. While we have not had full confirmation that raids won't exist in GW2 (a recent interview mentioned them), having the most time consuming gear to be statistically identical to less grinding-intensive things would be a big step in keeping GW2 apart from most of its competitors.
