Human Week - Benefit of being human?

Human week is upon us, and with that certain things started to pop on my head. What is the benefit of being human?
We all know the background story, we know there history, and we played them as the only playable race in GW1. But now with the coming of Guild Wars 2, what is the benefit of playing as humans again?
The game mechanics have changed, there have been new things added, you can jump, you can roll, you can swim, but all other races can also do the same thing. So why should I play human again?
From what is mentioned some races have things which benefits them, the Norn can transform to creatures, the Azuras have there golems, the Sylvari has nothing known yet and the Charr runs on all 4 when running (probably not an actual benefit.) However these are still different from what we have seen in GW1. What will be the benefit of playing Human?|||That is a very good question, I was asking my self the same earlier today.|||Nostalgia is a good one.
Realism might be another.
And the whole "each race has different skills and personal stories." also helps.|||Quote:

Okay Nostalgia, okay realism, but how do that benefit me to be Humans again?
Personal Story: All of the races have there own personal stories so that still equalize everyone regarding the story.
Skills: What kind of skill will be unique enough that I would play a Human Warrior than a Norn one? Just the fact that by just being a Norn you have the ability to transform or if that's a skill, makes me want to play that. I'm just asking what makes being Human special that the other Races? Will I have skills that will allow me to summon a God or Gods?|||Quote:

If you keep disrergarding everything I really can't help you.
As I said, some players like the realism or nostalgia factor. Some players like the whole "pushed back but not beaten" aspect of humans. For them, that's more then enough reason to play Human.
Others will play them for re-playability purposes. I know I will. Since every race has different skills, areas to explore and personal stories to experience, being stuck to a single race seems counter-productive.
It's a matter of preferences. Some people prefer fantasy races, others hate them.
And to answer your last question, one of the racial human skills, which is also an elite skill, allows you to summon 2 fiery hounds to fight by your side.|||In most games, the human option is often the "well rounded" one but I get the impression in GW2, humans will have something unique to offer. Nemeon Lion pointed out one of those unique features of playing a human.|||These are all we know so far. *shrug* they've been very tight-lipped about racial skills.|||Not being asura/norn/tree people
That's reason enough for me.|||Quote:

LOL sorry Nemeon Lion, Wasn't trying to do that.
I just hope they give something for Humankind? If your an Asura will Golems be considered a skill?|||Quote:

The asurans will most likely have something to do with golems.
It's confirmed that players are able to ride golems, but those golems are more of a karma reward and are open to any race instead of being race specific.
