Stats and attributes - have some math.

Martin Kerstein revealed that base stats differ per class (also, that the War has higher max health but the Guard has more health regen).
Vorsaken from GWGuru did some mah based off a screenshot. It's pretty speculative, but interesting.

Lets do battle with those numbers!
> The L45 charr warrior is wearing 4 Talismans of the Legion on his armor, granting 10 strength and 20 perception.
= S 508 | A 405 | I 212 | V 528 | P 402 | W 182
> I don't have all the attribute bonuses of L45 heavy armor written down, but I do have a full set of the attribute bonuses of L45 scholar armor written down (yes; my 3 virtues are geekdom, geekiness & geekosity).
The warrior pieces seen confirm that bonuses are equal across armor classes, and that the Centurion set worn has strength as it's primary attribute and vitality & perception as secondaries.
The set breakdown is very likely as follows then:
* Strength +96 (17, 12, 24, 12, 19, 12)
* Vitality +58 (10, 7, 15, 7, 12, 7)
* Perception +58 (10, 7, 15, 7, 12, 7)
= S 412 | A 405 | I 212 | V 470 | P 344 | W 182
> The warrior is wearing the same Emerald Ring (+30 vitality), but not the Cerulean Ring (+30 perception) that the necromancer does - instead he has a red ring, which presumably corresponds to strength or agility; I'll guess strength, given the stat distribution thus far.
If the warrior's amulet is a counterpart to the necromancer's, it will give +30 strength, +15 vitality and +15 perception.
The warrior is wearing the same Orange Lucky Rabbit's Foot (+21 Perception), but not the same Purple Lucky Rabbit's Foot (+21 Intelligence) that the necromancer does - instead it wears a green rabbit foot, which we know denotes a vitality bonus.
The set breakdown is likely as follows then:
* Strength +60 (30, 30)
* Vitality +66 (30, 15, 21)
* Perception +36 (15, 21)
= S 352 | A 405 | I 212 | V 404 | P 308 | W 182
> Only the active armaments contribute attributes, and I know the Ghastly Longbow bonuses: +48 agility, +30 vitality, +30 perception.
= S 352 | A 357 | I 212 | V 374 | P 278 | W 182
> Conveniently, I know that the only attribute traited for the default L45 charr warrior is Minor Vitality (+25).
= S 352 | A 357 | I 212 | V 349 | P 278 | W 182
~ These numbers represent base attributes + assigned attribute points ~
Everything below this point grows increasingly speculative!
> Now we have to take a punt at assigned attribute points...
We know you have 2 to spend upon reaching level 2, and 5 to spend upon reaching level 46 - so it's tricky to predict the pattern with any degree of certainty (not as simple as 1 more point every 10 levels or we'd have 6 in our fourties).
Even 43 subsequent level-ups distributing 5 points apiece would only amount to 217 attribute points, which would barely dent the unaccounted for points we have left, so let's ponder baseline growth.
#1 Upon reaching level 2, a human elementalist gains +4 to her 3 favored attributes (the ones she can trait) and +2 to the others.
#2 If we boldly assume that the lowest attribute, willpower (maybe intelligence enhances healing or utility?), hasn't had any points invested in it voluntarily then we could extrapolate at least 162 points of baseline growth across the board; characters start with 20 in each attribute at level 1, so 20 base and +162 growth.
#3 Given that a L45 character could have distributed fewer than 217 points freely - likely much fewer unless we leap directly from 2 to 5 at a low level - it's reasonable to assume the 96 point lead perception has over willpower wasn't all assigned by levelling up (nor the 40 point lead intelligence has); the +4/+2 growth pattern must get more complex at higher levels.
So let's start guesstimating!
We'll write-off all 182 willpower as base & baseline growth.
Strength, agility & vitality enjoyed at least 2 more baseline growth for 44 level ups, so we'll add 88 initially to give 270 write-off; that leaves 82, 87 & 79 unaccounted for - 248 total (still above the estimated assigned points).
If we speculate that intelligence started increasing above willpower at a round number like level 10, we can write off 36 of the 40 additional points to leave just 4 assigned freely (plausible).
If we then speculate the perception began increasing over intelligence around the same time, we can write off 36 of the 56 additional points that attribute enjoys - leaving 20 assigned freely.
Since I've commited to the round number model so strongly at this point, I'll use it to eat up 36 more points from strength, agility & vitality too - leaving assigned point values at 46, 51 & 43 respectively.
That amounts to 164 assigned points (46 + 51 + 4 + 43 + 20 + 0), which falls safely (and quite compellingly!) within the 88 - 217 range of predicted assignable attribute points.
The final estimated baseline of a L45 warrior is therefore:
= S 306 | A 306 | I 208 | V 306 | P 258 | W 182
If we shuffle those numbers to reflect the possible priority guardian attributes glimpsed in the anniversary video (strength, intelligence & willpower), we end up with these potential baseline attributes.
a] S 306 | A 182 | I 306 | V 258 | P 208 | W 306 = 480 less health than a warrior.
b] S 306 | A 182 | I 306 | V 208 | P 258 | W 306 = 980 less health than a warrior.
I wouldn't rule out b] myself, as both the warrior and the necromancer load up on perception even though it's not one of their traitable attributes - it might be integral to balance that every profession has a respectable baseline critical rate...|||Interesting, though I don't quite understand the calculation for health.|||Oh please don't let GW2 become a spreadsheet game ;)
I think it's fine that warriors have more health but guardians have better health regen. It sets up a different "survival" dynamic much like derv vs warrior did in GW1.|||Quote:

Oh please let us have at least some spreadsheets ;)|||Quote:

Hey now hey now. It shouldn't be a spreadsheet on the outside. But it's absolutely required to be a spreadsheet on the inside, and it's cool to be able to peek in.|||Hahah, well, I guess as long as I don't have to spreadsheet to figure out how I'm supposed to equip myself...
I'm fine with people doing research and calculations if that's what they like. I just don't want to do it myself (most of the time anyway) or rely on tools to do it. I should be able to play the game within the game.
You know... meaningful choices vs optimizations. I don't want optimization. I want meaningful choices.|||is anybody else amused by the 'Charming' rose next to a Charr?
