Shatterer Demo Video

This is a new GW2 demo video that I found. Not sure this has been posted yet. I am sure it was but I cannot find it in the search. So here it is.

I noticed a few cool new features
1) AoE nukes can be casted on an area instead of on a foe. (Similar to Dragon Age)
2) Single target nukes/attacks can be manually aimed. (Similar to a FPS)
3) You can manually evade attacks and nukes by dodging around, probably by double tapping a,d,w,s. (Similar to Witcher)
4) Auto attack is unpopular/no longer exist? (Just from observing those 2 videos. Not sure about this.)
5) Most attack skills delivers multiple hits, instead of just 1 hit like the norm in GW1. (Makes the action more intense)
6) The damage values and HP values are much higher than they were in GW1, with attacks and nukes dealing over 500 damage.|||Not to be a smart*** or something, but all of those are EXTREMELY old news. We knew about them all since gamescom from last year.|||Quote:

I musta missed it, because when I saw those videos I was like
I watched it like 10 times.
It's gorgeous!!

I wish that the purple junk we see meant that it was a giant Margonite Dragon, but I understand it's probably some other kind of purple junk, because it didn't look like Margonite purple junk.
*sigh*
<3 margos

edit, btw: floating minions? did i see floating minions? they looked like crossbreeds of Starcraft Overlords and a Word of Madness. Want!|||Quote:

That purple junk is one of the champions of the Elder Crystal Dragon. Anet has also said that The Shatterer (this guy in the video) is much smaller compared to the elder dragons, so yeah....
And yes, there are some floating minions. We know 2 of them, the Blood minion and the Shadow minion.|||You've got to be trolling me right now|||I may be masochistic, but would you like to have seen more lethal attacks for that dragon?
Examples:
Make the dragon more mobile.
If he steps on you and you don't evade, you die instantly instead of just getting some amount of damage.
P.S.: Someone on the youtube video said that that "elder dragon" fight was awesome. I think it's important to note that that purple dragon is NOT an elder dragon! Elder dragons are bigger and more powerful!|||Quote:

Nope, and I'm not even the guy you said it to! Heh.
So pleased about that video, wish I would have seen it when all the "it must be a troll" folks saw it, but hey better late than never.
Glad the dragon flew away btw... he didn't hardly look damaged.
Here's hoping that when his HP gets low we'll see parts of him fall off!|||Quote:

What I would have really liked to see would be different and independent targetable areas in the dragon. In the demo, people could aim at the Shatterer in different areas, but that was just for show (so a caster didn't have to attack its feet and a warrior didn't have to try to attack only its head); all damage was dealt to the dragon, and nothing else. I wish the dragon had different body areas that could be targetted individually, such as its left hand casting a strong crystal spell but being destroyable (so you could prevent the spell, but you would have lost time you could have spent attacking the main body). IMO it would add a bit of diversity to those fights against very big monsters.
Erasculio|||I like that idea, but what would prevent people from just concentrating on the mainbody and be done with it instead of fighting a war of atrition?
