Why is Viacom blocking GW2 videos from GDC 2011?

Just curious.
There are new Thief gameplay videos on Youtube from GDC 2011 and apparently Viacom has been trying to nuke them all. (Unsuccessfully as it seems. They take one down and another pops up. They're practically viral now.)

Why would they do that? Why even show them at a Video Game Press Event to begin with if you didn't want to show them off to everyone?

I don't get it.|||I understand why they're being blocked, as they were leaked*, but I don't understand what Viacom has to do with anything.
*Not that this matters now, as ArenaNet has since given the okay for the media to release their videos.|||Quote:

Seriously though...

If you take a gameplay demo to a conference, and show it off to some people - especially PRESS - how can it NOT leak?|||Leak = breach of contract. People can get sued. The reason press is shown stuff ahead of time is to give them time to prepare the stories etc for simultaneous release. If they breach, at the very least the risk not getting exclusives in the future.|||Well, I figured out why Viacom's involved. GameTrailers is a division of MTV, and owned by Viacom.

Viacom are trying to nuke via DCMA takedown something that occurred to a breach in contract at their end which has now been approved for viewing by the company who they broke contract with in the first place.
I remember the word "Dick" being said after the dingle, dingle, dingle VIACOM video jingle. I'm thinking plural would have been more apt.
