[:1]Well, the summer convention shows are still somewhat far away. So I am wondering what kinds of things this community wonders about when it comes to GW2? In other words (as the title of the thread suggests):
What would you like to learn about GW2?
For me there are a couple of things that I would like to learn about which include (in order of importance for me - it might be somewhat ecclectic):
1.) the last profession (probably Mesmer/Minstrel/Bard :-)
2.) the Sylvary race. How do they look after the redesign? Has anything in the lore changed?
3.) some words from Jeremy Soule on Music creation for GW2.
4.) racial skills. I don't need or want to see them all - just 1 or 2 sample skills per class with some insights about how the team decided to make X a racial skill rather than a profession skill.
6.) Any information on the beginning of closed betas.
7.) some examples of underwater combat. I just want a bit of information here...a tease perhaps. I want to mainly be in awe of this once I can play the game. It's good to have some mystery going into a game - not knowing all mechanics to the minute details.
8.) Having some footage of some small-scale (perhaps 3vs3) example of PvP.
What things are you interested in learning?|||Racial skills. This is by far what I want to learn the most about.
Followed by: more prof skills, more on traits, and underwater skills.
The main thing about racial skills is enough info so I can start deciding which profs to combo with what races. Yes I know they're all flavor anyway, but I don't want my elementalist to be without summons for one. So stuff like summons, and stuff like versatility (e.g. skills that act like kits or GW1 ursan).|||PvP.
That is all.|||personally i would love to see a 3-6 minute view inside the character creation screen, just to get an idea what to expect.|||System requirements. I want to prepare so I can one day run it on max settings.|||I guess the last profession.

I'd like PvP to be made available in the demo at GamesCom and not before that. Why? Of course so I can bully everyone with my actual, hands on, experience. Evil, mwuh, fun, yeahyeahyeah.|||there's so many things I don't really know where to start.
how about a nice 10 minute video of asurans being brutally slain in every conceivable way?|||Quote:

That would be nice, especially if you make a video of it.
I hope they reveal the last profession either at gamescom, or before. I also want to know about the sylvari. As for traits, I think we've got a good indication of what they'll be for (either buffing skills or stats) and I don't really want them all to be shown as that's something I'll be exploring when the game goes live. Racial skills would be nice though, as it would help me choose which races to use with which profession.
More release date info would be nice, I'm not picky, even a confirmation that closed alpha has started would satisfy me. Info on how well it's going would make me really happy, and a date for closed beta would be awesome (even if they just specify a certain month).|||Quote:

Same here now that I think about it.
In a way, I am happy GW2 is not out for at least a few more months.
I am planning on putting together a new system based on the Fusion platform...something with the new Llano processors (like the A8- 3560)would sound sweet (hmmm, perhaps a new thread on this topic needs to be made). Then, the question remains whether to put a dedicated graphics card in right away and combine it with the integrated one via crossfire, or whether the integrated card is sufficient.|||Racial skills are probably my top priority.
Then I would like to see the last two races released along with the final profession.
Then gives us PvP at Gamescon, with the major announcement at PAX being a date for open beta to begin.
