[:1]This guy has it exactly right when it comes to summarizing why one should be interested in GW2. I couldn't have said it better. I found this video because he also has an entry into the video contest.
Do you like his video? Are these your top 10 reasons as well?|||Good summary of things that make GW2 interesting|||I'm going to show this to my friends, they have to buy gw2. ;)|||His top 10
10. Production quality
9. Music
8. Content scaling
7. Dynamic events
6. Dynamic combat
5. No monthly fees
4. Scale & art
3. PvP
2. Weapons & abilities
1. No trilogy
Mine:
10. No monthly fees (I'd pay a fee for a game worth it)
9. Production quality (incl art, music, etc)
8. Low grind (incl. content scaling)
7. Balanced for competitive PvP, even if I mostly PvE it means quality
6. Underwater (instead of flight)
5. ANet is not just taking risks, they're re-designing from the ground up
4. Dynamic events
3. Ground-targeted buffs/debuffs - see my blog on the topic
2. Dynamic combat
1. Flexible roles (no trilogy, but also weapon swap etc)|||to me the lore quality, story line, skill interaction and global customization are my most important reasons to play GW2.|||Very nice video, TY for posting a thread including it.|||Don't mean to bump, but as you know, Alexrediculous makes quit a few very good videos about GW2. It would be derp to post them all, just follow his channel to keep yourself up-to-date, though I would like to post this one as it's kind of a sequel to the video in the first post.|||I'm sorry to be so off topic here, and i want to apologize if i offend anyone.
someone wrote that one of the things that are great in GW2 are the low amount of grind.
in the other hand in GW1 the only thing to do at max level is grind for HoM and grind for titles.
I'm sorry to say that I'm not sure that it will be any different When a player is at max level in GW2.|||A fully levelled player is supposed to have all the dungeons in the game available along with all sorts of PvP action. Doing dungeons and PvP all the time could be called grinding but at least you'll have more than one relevant place to go.
I personally don't think that you can play the same character in perpetuity without it getting repetitive, anyway, so if you eventually run out of fresh things to do that's that. What counts for me is how much fun you get to have in the meantime.|||Quote:

There's a big difference between leveling/equipment grind that increases your power level, and the kind of optional endgame grind for aesthetics like titles. The latter is fine, it gives hardcore players something to do for very little work on the developer's part (though I have to say that GW2 looks like it's being built with a much bigger emphasis on the PvE endgame than GW1 had). The former is what people refer to when they say "no/low grind". It's the difference between an exponential leveling curve and a flat one, or running a dungeon an indeterminate number of times to get a full set of armor vs. getting a new piece every time you beat it, guaranteed.
