I'm almost positive I'm not the only one begging ANet for some specs on what's required to run GW2. Is anyone else slightly worried that their PC won't be able to run GW2 based on the ungodly graphics released with the new information in the past couple days?|||http://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/game-faq/

What are the system requirements for Guild Wars 2?
The system requirements haven't been finalized, but just as with the original Guild Wars series, we're committed to creating a beautiful game that will play great on mid-range gaming PCs.|||But is that mid-range as of right now, or mid-range in a year+ from now? With the way technological advances are going in the realm of PCs, high-end machines now could easily be mid-range in a year or less.|||They probably mean mid-range when the game is released. And the reason they can't give out specs right now is that they probably don't know yet. If they're still working on the game, it's likely not fully optimized, which means it runs slower than it should. That means they won't know the answer until they're close to finishing and have optimized it.|||Looking at EotN:

The minimum system requirements for playing Guild Wars: Eye of the North are:
Windows XP/2000/ME/98/Vista
Intel Pentium III 1 GHz or equivalent
512 MB RAM
DVD-ROM Drive
3 GB Available HDD Space
ATI Radeon 8500 or NVIDIA GeForce 3 Series Video Card with 64 MB of VRAM
16-bit Sound Card
Internet connection
Keyboard and mouse
DirectX 8
The recommended system requirements for playing Guild Wars: Eye of the North are:
Windows XP/2000/Vista
Intel Pentium 4 2.0 GHz or equivalent
1 GB RAM
DVD-ROM Drive
4 GB Available HDD Space
ATI Radeon 9600 or NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 series video card or above
16-bit Sound Card
Internet connection
Keyboard and mouse
DirectX 9
So, I would expect the minimum to be slightly higher than the recommended for EotN.
Something along the line of:
A low end Dual Core, 1GB RAM, geforce 6 series or equivalent Ati card with 256MB VRAM, Direct X 9c, maybe around ~7GB HDD Space, Windows XP/Vista/7.
It's just a guess though.|||That might be the minimum, the recomended might be (and crossing my fingers for it) Core 2 Duo with 2 Gigs of RAM and a video card of 512 - 1024 Mb with Directx 10.
Once again, just a guess. And I really hope this is true because I really don't want to renovate my computer, lol.|||My guess:
Minimum:
Dual Core 2G CPU
2 gig of ram
3xxx series ATI video card 512 mb.
Recommanded
Quad Core
4 gig of ram
5xxx series ATI video card 1G.|||Can we also use this thread to praise/criticize the graphics?? I think they are absolutely stellar but the character models definitely need some work. It's not that they're bad, they just seem out of place in the environment and enemies that look SO good.|||Considering NCSoft also did Aion, perhaps it'll be something along those lines; the graphics look similar (which is good, I love the detail), but who knows? As long as my computer and laptop run it I'll be happy.|||The issue I see is that my laptop might not be able to run it, which is what I'm playing on almost 100% of the time. Currently it's running a nVidia GeForce 9400M with 256 MB of DDR3 SDRAM, so I may need a new card to run optimally (if I understand graphics cards as I think I do, I'm not knowledgable about graphics specs).
