Lore Post - Skritt

Another Lore post on another race in GW2, the Skritt. Rat people. Huzzah.
Though this kind of thing is clearly not my bag, I think it's great that ANet puts so much effort into all of their races, even ones we just go around bashing.|||I was somewhat worried that the Skritt would turn out to be very similar to the Skaven and I'm glad to say that my concerns were unfounded.|||Yay, hiveminds! It's an interesting take on the subject, and I like the idea of a race that individually's dumb as a clay brick but collectively can give the asura a run for their money.
Also interesting to see the different viewpoints that other races have towards them. The asura basically treat them like a rat infestation, but it's easy to forget that these guys are sentients too- if they were human that'd have some really unfortunate implications. Hopefully all the non-playable intelligent races will have both peaceful and hostile interactions with the player characters.|||Overall, I like this article a lot. The amount of lore in Tyria is truly unique!
Also, I found this statement to be intriguing:

Does this imply that at this time, Anet has chosen the 1000 or so DE that will be in the initial release of GW2? That also makes me wonder: What percentage of these events has been fully implemented already, and what part is in the refinement stage?|||Nice little piece. I'm not a big lore fan, but I like that Anet are populating the GW2 world with foes that are more than just red dots.
The celtic (inspired) names seem a bit random.|||All I can think of when reading the name is this guy.|||I can roughly guess where the idea of skritt came from and the war between asura and skritt.
