Arena.Net just released the details of a new video contest designed to spread the word about GW2.
Quote:
Are you a Guild Wars 2 fan? Do you think all your friends should play Guild Wars 2? Summon all your creative and persuasive powers and make your own one-minute Guild Wars 2 promotional video that explains why you think people should play the game at launch. Keep in mind that all entries must be in English. Two lucky fans will win a Grand Prize trip to ArenaNet's brand new studio near Seattle, Washington, and spend the day playing Guild Wars 2 with the ArenaNet dev team!

So the only question I have for the gwonline readership is: Do you have what it takes to submit a video?
I wish all participants all the best!|||I don't have the media skills to pull this off, and I have already convinced all my friends to at least purchase the game and give it a tryout. The only issue I am having now is they keep asking me when its gonna be out.|||Tell them the day the MMO market falls to its knees in recognition of its savior.|||Quite cool. Too bad I don't have any videomaking skills.|||TBH, i would rather have the second or third price, but then again, the change i win anything is slim at best.|||meh, only 13 days. I don't think the winning video will be all that good in such a short time.
Whoever wins 2nd place will probably have a way better graphics card than what they're giving away, since this person will know how to edit videos well enough that it's probably a hobby he or she has spent some money on.|||Can't enter unless I move to a different province.|||Cool idea, but the time restraint is pretty sick on this. Gathering video material to actually make a really good video would be out of my league right now due to exams.
Besides, pretty sure rings got that one right.|||Flashy visuals is not the only way to go. With some originality, a low-budget video could be really cool and to the point.|||Begin:
*camera pans across forested landscape, theme music plays softly in background*
*from above off camera, a sword drops, sticking point first into the ground*
*Logo fades in, in front of sword; in background, sound effect of a Charr roaring*
End.
