TenTonHammer GW2 Article:"Why you should care"

A TenTonHammer GW2 article has been released. Similar to the Eurogamer.net article, there is not much new information released here either. But as a GW2 fan, I am always happy to read more articles about GW2. You can read the article here:

P.S.: Just a personal note at the end. I personally do not mind reading articles about GW2 even if some portion of the article consists of information we already know. I do note that these kinds of articles seem to be a trend for the last 2-3 weeks. My questions are: Do these kinds of articles give GW2 additional hype? If yes, will additional hype help or hurt GW2 in the long-run?|||I don't think it gives additional hype to GW2 fans, rather it helps reach more people. GW2 fans get hyped about new info imo.
I also think broadening the base is a good thing, especially for a game that differs from the mold. Some people will try it and not like it. But it doesn't hurt to get more people to try it who might enjoy it even though they originally might have thought it was a bad idea to differ from the norms.

Also, I always assumed there would be an auction-like mechanism for trade, but I don't remember hearing confirmation. Also info on 5vs5 arena rated and unrated, and ability to hot-join a match in progress...
Fatigue bar? Never heard of that before...|||Think that is just his words for the the energy pool being depleted by rolls. Which would make it fatigue of sorts.|||Indeed, fatigue would be redundant with energy. Thanks Lensor.|||I get the feeling that the overall, "GW2 will revolutionize the MMO market!" hype will not play out well. While I agree with the statements that MMO players unfamiliar where GW2 is going, should take a look and check it out, but using terms like "industry shaking" and "2nd Generation MMO" is reaching beyond information into the realm of hype that I hate to see happen.
I want other players to know about GW2, but seeing wide sweeping, subjective statements about a yet to be released product in print only leads to unrealistic expectations that are almost never obtainable.
I guess I still recall a time when you could obtain "FACTS" on a subject without beig sholved "HYPE" along with them. Most people don't even try to distinguish between the two these days....|||The media is doing it though, ANet is sticking to facts (more or less).
You can't stop media from being media... unfortunately.|||Well, big hype isn't bad. There's still lots of people who are clueless about what kind of game GW is and what GW2 is going to be, getting them interested can't be a bad thing.|||When media write articles like this, we reach more people. More people, including people who aren't familiar with Guild Wars 2 at all, will be better for the health of the game in the long run. Selling the game ONLY to our existing fan base is not our goal. Rather, we want to reach beyond current Guild Wars fans, and bring them into the fold. :)
