Some cool stuff, though mostly reiterative what I read.
Now back to private law.|||No Froggie love :(
Great interview though!
Closed Beta this year...
I hope they release it prior to 2013 as the world will have ended by then :p
-Art|||Level 80 is the max - did we know that? I feel like that's some new info.
Yay beta|||And the answer to my question about security and character resets is "we can't answer that yet." Sigh.
@RDarken: Level 80 was one of the first things they told us, long ago.|||This interview is packed with goodies.
@RDarken - we already knew max lvl was 80.
Woot! They answered one of my questions! (yes I can be self-centered *sometimes*)
Quote:
If you are on my team and I cast a Firewall, you will see a white ring around it that shows that ‘yes this is a friendly’. If it’s an enemy one you will see a red box around it. Then we also do things with skills like Healing Rain . Enemies see Healing rain as white so white generally means it doesn’t affect me either way and the allies see healing rain as a blue ring around it indicating there’s positive benefits to going into it.
So red = bad, blue = good, and white = neutral or buff to weapons? Also, healing rain does no damage.

We have a few players that are quite good at the game right now, generally now my reaction when I see them is to turn and run, even with an ally or two with me. (...) Everyone thought the profession he was playing was completely broken and then he switched to another one and they were saying that one was now broken.
Made me laugh. Skill matters people, this is good news.

Warrior. Because I like smashing people in the face. *laugh*
Also made me lol.

In WvW: Definitely, they play a role, but the guards are not there to kill you , the guards are there to slow you down so defenders can get there to help defend, what you’re really fighting there is the other players. While we have the guards it’s not like we have them there to kill you.
Kinda like JQ, FA, etc.|||Not a big fan of most of the questions, almost everything was stuff we knew or was obvious they couldn't answer, as such not a lot of new info. A shame, but hey keep up the work.
Only good question, to me, was the confirmation about AOE effects such as fire or healing and that the player would be able to discern whether those effects were freindly or hostile , but then again it would have been very strange if they weren't.|||Quote:

Although unlikely, I'm very much hoping that buffs to weapons are not limited to friendly spell effects - e.g. that you can get a buff to your arrows by shooting through an enemy firewall. It would add a nice extra dimension to skill usage if certain spells actually had a potential to do more harm than good to yourself/your team.|||My question about music was in! Yay!
GW2 will have approximately as much music as all of GW together: Awesome!
I would have preferred more details but the whole thing with environmental sounds changing with time of day, and music adapting to this and other factors too: I am soooo thrilled.
One thing though, Ruhster. Who was saying what in the interview? I would be nice to have name tags before each paragraph to know who said what. I'd like to know for example who liked the ranger and who the warrior.|||I just hope the decision is to allow people from all over the ability to play together as we do in GW. Otherwise, this is going to tear a lot of good guilds apart and that would be a shame. I happen to think that the guild I belong to now is an extremely great bunch of people and I would hate to know that I would no longer be able to be in a guild with them in GW2.|||I was pretty drsutrated becuase I only had 30 mins but I ran to 45. I really needed more time becuase they dropped the next profession bombshell right at the start of the interview. Obviously if I had more time I would have asked questions about the next profession for Thursday's reveal. I am going to try and arrange another interview this week to address that.
