Now that would be cool...
Not impossible...|||cool, you want to stand in the middle of the room moving like an idiot on steroids?
no N O no!!!!!!!!!!|||I actually happen to agree with Zilken - not for initial release mind you but some future form of GW X.|||3rd party drivers for windows are already out there. I think it's just a matter of time. If microsoft is too cheap and/or stupid to release drivers, the modders and tinkerers of the net will. Full motion-cap drivers WILL exist for the pc. (I wish the same could be said for their keypad)|||Anything is Kinect compatible, eventually. It won't be Anet themselves though, as MS hasn't put out any official drivers for PC games yet, and GW2 is -so far- PC only. 3rd party developers may provide a Kinect system, but the question then is - Why?
GW2 is likely to be a fairly complicated combat system, and so far, the Kinect hasn't produced any good results in that department.
Personally, I'm not a fan of the Kinect and the whole movement control. It was sort of fun with the Wii, but now it's going a bit too far. Why play tennis on your TV when you could play tennis outside? You'll actually learn to play it and not have a CPU correct your movements.|||Quote:

So about those Guitar Hero games...|||Quote:

I don't think you can compare a game like GW to a game of tennis. I mean, how many people have wireless keyboards and mice? What's the difference? Ok, a keyboard and a mouse need a somewhat stable surface. The advantage of something like the wiimote or kinect is that you don't need that and still have a point device.
Oh, and why I play tennis on my TV instead of outside? Simple. We don't have a tennis court in the backyard...|||I can tell you why I do. I have a bad back, quite bad actually. I can't play tennis outside, I can barely golf still, and I pay for it days afterward. With the Wii, and now the Xbox with Kinect, I can play some of these games again. I am able to use my arms and upper body as a controller and keep my trunk and legs stationary. This allows me to get needed exercise with minimal stress to my back, I'm sure many people use these controllers for just this reason. Maybe some are sensitive about their weight so they get their exercise indoors, hoping to play tennis or whatever outside after they reach their goal. One thing I can say for certain, no one uses the kinect because their too lazy to play outside, it's one hell of a workout!|||I often exercise using the Wii Fit with added weights. It's a great workout.
Besides, any exercise is better than no exercise.|||I can't invision any game that is currently fun being "Kinect Compatible".....at least not in it's current form. When they find some method to activate proper button presses without some motion gimick, then I'll start to take it seriously.
Move has the capibility, but from what I've heard and seen, Sony is still missing the boat. To be honest, I can't recall the last time I turned my Wii on, so maybe I'm just a old lazy bastage that is out of touch with what is "hip" these days. If that includes "Glee" then I'm right where I would like to be....
